It is in /etc/xdg/autostart, but so are all the other desktop screensavers, and they don't start. I didn't start it, so it is something else starting it. ![]() It says it is started by process 1, which is systemd I think. I wonder if it is the source of the problem. But using a search for save found the xscreensaver running from lxde, it found xscreensaver-systemd, and it found xfce4-screensaver. Of those, only xscreensaver, xlock, and i3lock are installed. Xscreensaver gnome-screensaver slock xlock i3lock ![]() It currently those applications, in this order (try the next one if the application is not available) : light-locker Lxlock is a simple script to lock the session, using third application. When I use the fedora menu in LXDE (preferences -> screensaver) to bring up the xscreensaver application, it shows 'Disable Screen Saver' as the active mode. I have also updated to the latest available programs in the repositories. I installed LXDE from the Fedora repositories, along with many other programs. That has been resolved now, and I am able to update from the Fedora repositories. ![]() Because of the way I have my router configured to use non-standard DNS servers, I could not get the repositories to work. I used a CD, with the server install dvd as the source. Yes, it was a fresh rawhide install from the network install image.
